What's new in Dew 1.1.3 — a quiet place to be understood
Dew has always been a quiet place for one. In 1.1.3 it opens a little — a calm, anonymous community where you can be understood without being seen — and gives your own cycle two new ways to be felt: as seasons, and as a garden.
Dew 1.1.3 is here. For every release so far, Dew has been a private conversation between you and your own body. This one keeps that promise intact — and, for the first time, lets you look up and find you were never the only one.
The Meadow — a place to be understood, never seen
Some things are too tender for a feed and too heavy to carry alone. The first month off the pill. A cycle that won’t come. The quiet grief of a loss no one saw. So we made Dew a small, calm room: the Meadow, an anonymous community that lives inside Dear Dew.
Post a few words, read the ones others left, reply with the comfort you once needed. There are no names, no profiles, no photos, no follower counts — nothing to perform for, nothing to be judged by. Just voices, meeting each other in the dark and saying me too.
First month off the pill and my body feels like a stranger. Anyone else? Just needed to say it somewhere.
a voice in the Meadow
You’re not a stranger to yourself — you’re meeting a new season. Mine took three cycles to settle. Be gentle.
another voice, replying
No names, no profiles, no follower counts. Only the words you choose to share ever leave your phone — never anything from your tracker.
It’s built to stay gentle. Every post is checked on your device before it’s shared, anything can be reported with a single tap, and content that’s reported enough quietly hides itself while it’s looked at. You can block any voice for good, and a real person is always reachable. A place to be heard — without being hurt.
Letters — comfort, written once, read whenever it’s needed
Inside the Meadow lives something quieter still. Letters are timeless notes of comfort — not tied to a day or a feed, but written once and kept for whoever opens them next. A letter to the girl before her first period. To the woman the night before surgery. To yourself, on a morning it all feels like too much.
“It’s going to feel like a lot, and then it’s going to feel like nothing at all — ordinary, yours, a quiet rhythm you learn by heart. You are not late, or wrong, or behind. You’re right on time.”
Letters aren’t tied to a day — they’re written once and read whenever someone needs them: the night before surgery, the first cycle after a loss, the morning it all feels like too much.
Your Seasons — the cycle you can feel
Your body doesn’t move in numbers; it moves in seasons. So the Rhythm tab is retold as the four inner seasons you pass through — a spring around your period, a bright summer, an autumn as things wind down, a winter of rest before you begin again. Where you are becomes something you sense, not a chart you have to decode.
Spring
your period — a quiet clearing
Summer
the fertile stretch, at its brightest
Autumn
the luteal turn, winding down
Winter
low energy — rest, and begin again
Your garden — a bloom for every cycle
And a small, growing keepsake: Your garden plants one hand-drawn bloom for every cycle you’ve kept. Over months it becomes a living crayon meadow of your own history — nothing to read, nothing to optimise, just a quiet, tender thing that grows the longer you stay with yourself.
One bloom for every cycle you’ve kept — a meadow that grows with you, drawn entirely from your own logs, entirely on your phone.
Still yours alone
None of this changes the one promise underneath everything. Your cycle data stays on your phone, synced only through your own private iCloud, with no account and no tracking. The Meadow is opt-in and carries only the words you choose to write — never your name, never anything from your tracker. Seasons and the garden are drawn from data that never leaves your device. By design.
New to Dew, or curious how the prediction itself works? We wrote the honest version here. Dew is free on the App Store below.
And if there’s something you wish Dew did — or something that’s not quite right — we genuinely want to hear it. Since we don’t track you, your words are the only way we learn. Tell us what you think. It’s two minutes and completely anonymous.
Common questions
Frequently asked
- Is the Meadow anonymous? Can anyone see who I am?
- Yes, fully anonymous. There are no names, no profiles, no photos, and no follower counts — nothing that identifies you, and nothing to build a reputation on. There's no account. The only thing that ever leaves your phone is the text you choose to post, and even that carries nothing from your tracker attached to it. You can be understood without ever being seen.
- Does joining the Meadow send my cycle data anywhere?
- No. This is the important part: the Meadow and your tracker are two separate things. The community carries only the words you deliberately write and share. Your periods, symptoms, moods, and notes stay exactly where they've always been — on your device, synced only through your own private iCloud, readable by no one but you. Reading or posting in the Meadow never sends any of that anywhere.
- Is the Meadow a safe space? How is it moderated?
- It's built to be gentle. Every post passes an on-device check before it can be shared, every piece can be reported with one tap, and content that's reported enough is hidden automatically while it's reviewed. You can block any voice so you never see them again, and the Dew team can remove anything and quietly ban authors who break the calm. If something ever slips through, [email protected] reaches a human. The whole design goal is a place to be heard without being hurt.
- What are Letters?
- Letters are timeless notes of comfort — written once, and read whenever someone needs them, rather than tied to a moment in a feed. A letter to the girl before her first period; to the woman the night before surgery; to yourself on a hard day. You can read the ones others have left, and write your own for a stranger you'll never meet.
- What are Your Seasons and Your garden?
- Two new ways to feel your own cycle. Your Seasons retells the Rhythm tab as four inner seasons — a spring around your period, a bright summer, an autumn as things wind down, a winter of rest — so where you are is something you sense, not a chart you decode. Your garden grows one hand-drawn bloom for every cycle you've kept, a living meadow of your history. Both are built entirely from your own logs, on your phone.
- Did anything change about my privacy?
- The promise is unchanged: your cycle data lives on your phone, synced only through your own private iCloud, with no account and no tracking. The Meadow is opt-in and carries only the words you choose to write — never your name, never anything from your tracker. Seasons and the garden are drawn from data that never leaves your device. You can join the conversation, or never open it, and either way nothing about you is collected or sold.
